I have been looking for a traditional navy tie with red stripes for quite a while but weren’t able to find anything that would really excite me. Luckily the Most ExeRent blogger of all time recommended Singapore based Vanda Fine Clothing a few months ago so I checked out their website and found just the tie I was looking for.
It arrived last week and I have to say I am mightily impressed. If you’ve never worn an unlined tie you’re in for a treat. At first impression this tie is of rather an old and traditional character, however it has a unique and a certain nonchalant flow to it. It creases gently and gives your outfit a little modern casual touch. It’s hand made, hand rolled, hand sewn and has no branding. It’s made of very fine silk and its very light. A slight gust of wind may throw it around, so if you don’t like that kind of thing, better get yourself a tie bar to hold it in place. I absolutely love this tie.
Vanda make limited number of their ties and they also make pocket squares and lapel pins. They have a lot of delicious designs being released tonight in their new collection so go grab one or two. You won’t regret it.
